The new metal-organic framework [Al13(OH)27(H2O)6 (bdc-NH2)3Cl6(iPrOH)6] (H2bdc-NH2: 2-aminoterephthalic acid) is solvothermally synthesized from a mixture of H2bdc-NH2 and a large excess of AlCl3 in i-PrOH (autoclave, 120 °C, 12 h).
