Dual-comb spectroscopy has become a topic of growing interest in recent years due to the advantages it offers in terms of frequency resolution, accuracy, acquisition speed, and signal-to-noise ratio, with respect to other existing spectroscopic techn

An experimental and theoretical analysis of the effect of optical injection on optical frequency combs generated by gain-switching a single mode laser is performed. Combs with a frequency separation f(R) in the GHz range are generated by gain-switchi

We combine optical injection and pulsed electrical excitation to generate flat-topped 100-MHz optical frequency combs from gain-switched semiconductor lasers. A highly coherent dual-comb system is tested by conducting high-resolution spectroscopy.

We present a voltage driven traveling-wave model for the simulation of an integrated three-section master oscillator power amplifier. The model considers the applied voltage to each active section as an input parameter and calculates the longitudinal

The suitability of a three-section master oscillator power amplifier for pseudorandom lidar is investigated by means of the experimental characterization and analysis of its emission characteristics under modulation. The proposed architecture consist

We have performed a systematic experimental and simulation analysis of the optical frequency combs generated by gain-switching single mode laser diodes, either free-running or subjected to optical injection. The simulations have been produced with a

We report on the experimental generation of high-quality Optical Frequency Combs (OFCs) at low repetition rates in an externally-injected gain-switched semiconductor laser using a Step-Recovery Diode (SRD) as the pulsing source. The use of an SRD as
