Abstract Diagenetic boundaries are paleo-reaction fronts, which have the potential to archive the termination of metasomatic processes in sedimentary rocks. They have not been extensively studied, perhaps because they appear simple in outcrop. Recent

Over 10,000 published detrital zircon ages have been reprocessed (applying a +10% normal and reverse concordance range) and analysed to understand the evolution of the detrital zircon record of north-west Africa during the Phanerozoic. Using dissimil

Continental passive margins and their hinterlands in the Atlantic realm have been the locus of many Low Temperature Thermochronology (LTT) and time-Temperature (t-T) modelling studies that evidence pre-, syn- and post-rift episodic km-scale exhumatio

During the Cretaceous, high global sea‐level and low latitudinal temperature variations led to the growth of epeiric carbonate platforms. Platform‐scale dolomitization of these platforms is not common, reflecting the low Mg/Ca ratio of seawater a

Coral carpets are biostromes that form laterally continuous but low-relief (typically less than 1-metre-high) coral communities with a lack of clear internal zonation. There are few locations that allow analysis of such systems on a regional (tens of

The Awaynat Wanin exposure is the closest outcrop analogue for Palaeozoic strata deposited in the subsurface of the Ghadames basin. This study focuses on Lower Carboniferous strata, examined on the edge of the extensive Al Hammadah al Hamra plateau.
