The weathering alkalinity flux from mid-latitudes to the ocean will be strongly altered by climate warming by 2100. Under different emissions scenarios either a strengthening or a weakening of the flux and thus of the oceanic CO2 buffer is predicted.

Understanding topographic relief evolution and its changes over hundreds of thousands to million-year timescales remains challenging. Recent approaches usually combine numerical modelling of terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide (TCN) exposure ages on strat

Alkalinity generation from rock weathering is thought to modulate the Earth’s climate at geological time scales. Here, we use global alkalinity data paired with consistent measurements of erosion rates to develop an empirically-based model for rive

Glacial erosion has often been parameterized as proportional to glacier sliding velocity, while the role played by local geology, hydrology and climate remain largely unquantified. As a result, our understanding of the links between global climate, t

For land management agencies such as Parks Canada that are tasked with maintaining the ecological integrity of protected, natural landscapes, dealing with the impacts of non-indigenous species on forest succession is a serious management concern. In
