Plasma levels of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) and their metabolites, branched-chain ketoacids (BCKA), are increased in insulin resistance. We previously showed that ketoisocaproic acid (KIC) suppressed insulin-stimulated glucose transport in L6

The biosorption of Ni(II), Cr(III) and Co(II) by banana (Musa acuminata) leaf is reported in this work. The effects of solution pH, contact time, initial metal ion concentration and temperature on the biosorption of the metal ions were investigated.
