Abstract Cell cycle dysregulation is a defining feature of breast cancer. Here, 1‐methyl‐nicotinamide (1‐MNA), metabolite of nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase(NNMT) is identified, as a novel driver of cell‐cycle progression in breast cancer.
