A new family of 6-c MOFs with carboxylic pincers has been finely tuned and NTU-72 shows a high C2H2/C2H4 selectivity and unprecedented recovery of both pure C2H4 and C2H2, because of the recognition of a C2H2 tetramer by carboxylic pincers.

The N-doped semi-graphitic C loaded with metallic Co (Co/CN) could catalyze highly selective hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol (100% conversion) to p-aminophenol (98.5% selectivity). The magnetically separable catalyst was reusable for 14 cycles.
