NKR-P1 is an inhibitory receptor on the surface of natural killer cells, and its engagement with the ligand LLT1 on activated monocytes and B cells triggers NK cell self-tolerance and other immunological processes. Here authors set up a comprehensive

Unlike any protein studied so far, the active site of bilirubin oxidase from Myrothecium verrucaria contains a unique type of covalent link between tryptophan and histidine side chains. The role of this post-translational modification in substrate bi

Four novel linear non-peptidic HIV-1 protease inhibitors derived from 2,5-diamino-1,6-diphenyl-3-hexanol were synthesized and characterized. All of them exhibit tight binding to HIV-1 protease, with inhibition constants Ki in the range 20 pm–5 nm.
