The adhesion of micrometer-size particles to an alternating block copolymer composed of polydimethyisiloxane and polyester was found to be accompanied by substantial viscoelastic flow of the substrate polymer. This flow gave rise to contact radii, wh

A polyester-polydimethylsiloxane block copolymer substrate (Young's modulus of approximately 9.2 × 106 N/m2) was observed by SEM to gradually creep over higher modulus gold and polystyrene micrometer sized particles in contact with its surface. The

Observations made with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) provided direct evidence for a soft polyester-polydimethylsiloxane block copolymer substrate undergoing extensive surface-force-induced plastic deformation upon contact with micrometer or su

This paper investigated, theoretically and experimentally, the electrowetting-induced capillary rise in a parallel-plate channel. The measured equilibrium height of the meniscus was proportional to the square of the applied potential. A model, based
