A description of a specimen of Cynoscion nebulosus caught in the Spanish waters of the Gulf of Cadiz, in the north-east Atlantic is presented. This is the first record of this species at this longitude.

First record of Polymixia nobilis (Polymixiformes: Polymixiidae) close to the Strait of Gibraltar (south-western Spain)

The capture of a specimen of Polymixia nobilis , a rare species in the eastern Atlantic waters north of the Canary and Madeira Islands, is reported as the first record in the vicinity of the Strait of Gibraltar.
