Botulism presenting as dyspnea and respiratory failure in the Canadian Arctic

A 58-year-old Inuvialuit woman presented to her health centre in the western Canadian Arctic with acute-onset (over one day) dyspnea without chest pain or fever. She had tachypnea with increased work of breathing. A chest radiograph appeared normal.
