In the present paper we consider nonlinear dimers and trimers (more generally, oligomers) embedded within a linear Schrödinger lattice where the nonlinear sites are of saturable type. We examine the stationary states of such chains in the form of pl

We present a new family of solutions for the Jackiw-Teitelboim model of two-dimensional gravity with a negative cosmological constant. Here, a metric of constant Ricci scalar curvature is constructed, and explicit linearly independent solutions of th

It is known that multidimensional complex potentials obeying parity-time(PT)symmetry may possess all real spectra and continuous families of solitons. Recently, it was shown that for multi-dimensional systems, these features can persist when the pari

Using a Gurevich-Krylov solution that describes the propagation of nonlinear magnetoacoustic waves in a cold plasma, we construct solutions of various other nonlinear systems. These include, for example, Madelung fluid, reaction diffusion, Broer-Kaup

We obtain in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic $\wp-$function, sigma function, and zeta function an explicit parametrized solution of a particular nonlinear, ordinary differential equation. This equation includes, in special cases, equations that occ

The existence of multidimensional lattice compactons in the discrete nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation in the presence of fast periodic time modulations of the nonlinearity is demonstrated. By averaging over the period of the fast modulations, an effe

We introduce a ladder-shaped chain with each rung carrying a parity-time- $(\mathcal{PT}\text{\ensuremath{-}})$ symmetric gain-loss dimer. The polarity of the dimers is staggered along the chain, meaning alternation of gain-loss and loss-gain rungs.

We consider a PT-symmetric chain (ladder-shaped) system governed by the discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation where the cubic nonlinearity is carried solely by two central "rungs" of the ladder. Two branches of scattering solutions for incident pla

We introduce a simple model for implementing the concepts of quasi-energy and parametric resonances (PRs) in systems with the $\mathcal{PT}$ symmetry, i.e., a pair of coupled and mutually balanced gain and loss elements. The parametric (ac) forcing i
