Abstract Dysregulation of the immune system can initiate chronic inflammatory responses that exacerbate disease pathology. Multipotent adult progenitor cells (MAPC cells), an adult adherent bone-marrow derived stromal cell, have been observed to prom

Recent clinical experience has demonstrated that adoptive regulatory T (Treg) cell therapy is a safe and feasible strategy to suppress immunopathology via induction of host tolerance to allo- and autoantigens. However, clinical trials continue to be

Mislocalisation of tau occurs in several neurodegenerative diseases and is thought to contribute to synaptic function. The authors show that presynaptically, tau binds to synaptic vesicles via the N-terminus which contributes to synaptic dysfunction.

Tau is implicated in more than 20 neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease. Under pathological conditions, Tau dissociates from axonal microtubules and missorts to pre- and postsynaptic terminals. Patients suffer from early synaptic
