We transmit 78×400Gb/s PDM-64QAM 50GHz-spaced channels over one 90-km SSMF span with real time transponder, transporting 31.2 Tb/s with 8 bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency.

We report a 8x8 switch based on a novel MOEMS technology allowing wide bandwidth (1300-1650nm), fast switching ( 50dB) and high modularity. This switch allow the realization of high capacity optical cross-connects (e.g.1024×1024).

We report here, to our knowledge, on the first demonstration of a modular 8/spl times/8 optical switch built with opto-hybrid 8/spl times/1 SOA-based space switch modules. A WDM experiment shows that this 8 x 8 optical switch offers a potential of 1.
