Rewiring exhausted CD8 T cells (TEX) towards more functional states is a major goal of cancer immunotherapy but has proven challenging due to the epigenetic stability of TEX. Indeed, TEX are epigenetically programmed by the transcription factor Tox.

Exhausted CD8 T cells (TEX) are a distinct state of T cell differentiation associated with failure to clear chronic viruses and cancer. Immunotherapies such as PD-1 blockade can reinvigorate TEX cells, but reinvigoration is not durable. A major unans

Significance CD8 T cell exhaustion is a key underlying factor limiting immunity in chronic infections and cancer. Persistent antigen exposure antagonizes formation of functional memory CD8 T cells that provide long-term protection and, instead, drive

Pregnancy is a common immunization event, but the molecular mechanisms and immunological consequences provoked by pregnancy remain largely unknown. We used mouse models and human transplant registry data to reveal that pregnancy induced exhausted CD8

Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are major negative regulators of immune responses in cancer and chronic infections. It remains unclear if regulation of MDSC activity in different conditions is controlled by similar mechanisms. We compared MD
