We report on a lumped-EML submodule with 3-dB bandwidths of 68.2 GHz at 25℃ and ~66 GHz at 70℃ using a resistance-optimized LC resonance effect, showing low temperature dependence and making it suitable for 112-Gbaud operation.

By using LC resonance effect with optimization of load resistance, the 3-dB bandwidth of a lumped-EML submodule can be enhanced to > 55 GHz although an EAM length is 150 um, making it enable 100-Gbaud operations.

Using an optical butt-coupling method, we have developed a low-cost hybrid-integrated 4×100G TROSA module, showing clear Tx optical eye patterns and Rx sensitivities within −7.0 ~ −6.4 dBm at 106-0bps PAM4 signals for all channels.

We demonstrate a C-band optical cross-connect switch based on InP integrated photonics, butt-coupled to a silica PLC for facile optical alignment. The switch allows the development of low power, low latency and low-cost WDM-switches.

In a tunable external cavity laser (T-ECL) module with a diffusion-reduced gain chip and a polymer waveguide grating, we have obtained Pout of 60 mW and 50 mW at 20 °C and 40 °C, respectively.
