A crystal structure analysis of the mixed anhydride of acetic and o -iodosobenzoic acids has verified previous structural assignments as 1-acetoxy-1,2-benziodoxolin-3-one ( a = 16.191, b = 7.762, c = 7.705 A, β = 82.0°, Z = 4, space group P2 1 a ).
