A solid heterogeneous phantom made up of 25- and 50-mm cubes of materials with different electron densities was used to verify the accuracy of a three-dimensional (3-D) dose calculation algorithm. This algorithm uses 3-D information obtained from con

At a bombarding energy of 32 MeV, angular distributions have been measured for seven states populated in the reaction /sup 27/Al(/sup 6/Li,..cap alpha..)/sup 29/Si. Angular distributions and angle-integrated cross sections have been compared with res

Complete angular distributions (theta/sub c.m./ = 9/sup 0/--90/sup 0/) for the reaction /sup 13/C( /sup 13/C,..cap alpha..) /sup 22/ Ne in the energy range E/sub c.m./ = 6.25--13.38 MeV have been measured. The data exhibit significant resonancelike b

We have investigated the /sup 70/Zn(p,t)/sup 68/Zn reaction using a beam energy of 35 MeV. Angular distributions were extracted for 18 levels up to 4.25 MeV excitation in /sup 68/Zn. Distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations have been performed

In 12 C( 16 O, α) 24 Mg, an l =9 resonance is observed at a CM energy of 11.4 MeV — significantly lower in energy than one would have expected from grazing l -value considerations.

Detailed angular-distribution measurements and Legendre-polynomial fits for 12 C ( 12 C , α 0 ) 20 Ne ( g.s ) in the bombardi energy region of the so-called “12 + ” bump in 12 C + 12 C inelastic scattering show conclusively that l = 10 dominates

In the c.m. energy region 13--15 MeV, the l = 10 partial wave dominates the cross section for /sup 12/C(/sup 12/C, ..cap alpha..) /sup 20/Ne(g.s.), frequently contributing more than 90% of the total cross section.
