The magnetic behaviour of the layered compound [Co(O2C(CH2)OC6H5)2(H2O)2]n (1) has been fully analysed, in the temperature range 150 mK to 300 K. The compound exhibits below 10 K a ferromagnetic-like behaviour and a long-range order at T C = 0.57 K .

We report on the power-law dependence on temperature of the magnetic susceptibility and the specific heat of the CDW (charge density wave) system o-TaS3. All the evidences are in favor of a typical REHAC (random exchange Heisenberg antiferromagnetic

Specific heats of the charge-density-wave compounds o-TaS3 and (TaSe4)2I have been measured over the wide temperature interval 10 K-300 K. Both systems exhibit strong non-Debye behavior. Very weak and broad anomalies are observed at the Peierls trans

We discuss the structure and magnetic properties of multilayer compounds M 2 (OH) 2 A· z H 2 O, where M=Co(II) or Cu(II) and A is a dicarboxylate anion. They consist of metal hydroxide-based layers connected through difunctional species (A), which,

The usual scaling equations at a phase transition, employed out of their usual validity range, with Tc a negative constant, fit properties observed in correlated electron systems with unmatched accuracy. We illustrate this behavior with our data in C

We present the results of a high-resolution X-ray-scattering study of the order parameter critical exponent, β, at the spin-Peierls phase transition in CuGeO3. As expected from previous X-ray data, there is a crossover from a 3D to a 2D regime, and

When a hierarchical criterion is associated with the renormalization of distances which governs the static properties near a phase transition, a non-exponential relaxation is found which is controlled by two timescales. The time constant, τβ, which

A model has been developed that associates a hierarchical criterion to the usual renormalization of the distances near a phase transition. At times t smaller than τα∝(1−Tc/T)−zν, which diverges at Tc, it is found that the relaxation develops

On definit un modele de "renormalisation hierarchique" qui decrit bien les relaxations non exponentielles qu'on observe dans des systemes correles.

In the framework of a model which associates a hierarchical criterion to space renormalization we find nonexponential relaxations of the characteristic length scale (s(t)∼t 1/zv at T=T c ) and a transition from an ergodic regime at T>T c where equi
