The compression curve of CeTe up to 25 GPa was measured by x-ray diffraction in a diamond anvil cell. Below 8 GPa, CeTe maintains the NaCl-type structure with a bulk modulus and its first pressure derivative equal to 52.8 GPa and 13.6, respectively.
