Tests with the Fontan R11, manufactured by Motan G.M.B.H. of West Germany, are described. The machine was tested as a mistblower using fluids at conventional discharge rates and with ULV restrictors.

The abrasive action of a copper fungicide on four nozzles commonly used in Nigeria when spraying cocoa for black pod control was evaluated. The spray solution flocculated and the nozzles frequently blocked indicating the need for an efficient filter.
