Theory predicts a deficit of super-Earth sized planets, which orbit close to their host star. Here, Lundkvist et al. use data from the NASA Kepler mission to show that this deficit is also seen in observations, thereby providing new insight into exop

Mixed modes observed in red giants allow for investigation of the stellar interior structures. One important feature in these structures is the buoyancy spike caused by the discontinuity of the chemical gradient left behind during the first dredge-up

The TESS space telescope is collecting continuous, high-precision optical photometry of stars throughout the sky, including thousands of RR Lyrae stars. In this paper, we present results for an initial sample of 118 nearby RR Lyrae stars observed in

In-air and underwater audiograms and directional hearing abilities were measured in humans. The lowest underwater thresholds were 2.8 µW/m2 or 3.6 mPa at a frequency of 500 Hz. The underwater hearing thresholds were 4–26 dB and 40–62 dB higher t

The GOLF instrument on board SoHO has been in operation for almost 25 years but aging of the instrument has now strongly affected its performance, especially in the low-frequency p-mode region. At the end of the SoHO mission, the ground-based network
