Accurate and reproducible in vivo measurement of hippocampal volumes using magnetic resonance (MR) imaging is complicated by the morphological complexity of the structure. Additionally, separation of certain parts of the hippocampus from the adjacent

Nonzein proteins were analyzed using SDS-PAGE to study their relationship to lysine level in mature endosperm of three isogenic lines and 29 inbred lines. The majority of nonzein proteins are glutelins that contain a relatively high lysine content. T

Crop models for decision making should accurately simulate grain yields across a wide range of soils and climate regimes. This study was designed to evaluate two models' ability to simulate plot grain yields under diverse weather conditions and soils

Understanding the background of balloon borne germanium detectors used in high energy astrophysics is crucial for the design of future space missions. In this paper we present a method which allows to estimate the poorly understood (β- and β+ backg

The HEIDELBERG-MOSCOW double beta decay experiment using HP germanium semiconductor detectors enriched in 76Ge is the first ββ experiment to penetrate into the sub-eV range. After a measuring time of 10.2 kg·a (117.0 mol·a) the half-life limit fo

The double-beta decay of 116Cd into excited states of 116Sn is experimentally and theoretically investigated. From an inclusive experiment, using an external source of isotopically enriched Cd, new most stringent limits for the allowed and non-standa

For the first time a search for dark matter with isotopically enriched material is done, by using the Ge detectors of the Heidelberg-Moscow experiment. A measuring time of 165.6 kg·d is used to set limits on the spin-independent cross section of wea

From the data taken with one of the enriched detectors of the Heidelberg-Moscow ββ experiment a half-life of T 1 2 2v = (1.42 ± 0.03 ( stat ) ± 0.13 ( syst )) × 10 12 yr for the two-neutrino double-beta ( ββ 2 ν ) decay of 76 Ge is derived. T
