The nuclear mean-field model based on Skyrme forces or related density functionals has found widespread application to the description of nuclear ground states, collective vibrational excitations, and heavy-ion collisions. The code Sky3D solves the s

It is the aim of this paper to discuss the impact of nuclear fusion on the EOS. This is a timely subject given the expected availability of increasingly exotic beams at rare isotope facilities\,\cite{balantekin2014}. In practice, we focus on $^{48}$C

Two parameter sets (Set 1 and Set 2) of the standard relativistic mean field (RMF) model plus additional vector isoscalar nonlinear term, which are constrained by a set of criteria20 determined by symmetric nuclear matter stabilities at high densitie

Using a Skyrme mean-field model, we investigate the linear-chain configurations of three α -clusters with four or eight additional valence neutrons in 16 C and 20 C and discuss the relation between the stability of such states and the neutron number

Using time-dependent Hartree-Fock, we induce isoscalar and isovector monopole vibrations and follow the subsequent vibrations of both the same and opposite isospin nature in the N ≠ Z nucleus 132Sn. By suitable scaling of the proton and neutron par
Fusion of very neutron rich nuclei may be important to determine the composition and heating of the crust of accreting neutron stars. We present an exploratory study of the effect of the neutron-gas environment on the structure of nuclei and the cons

Nuclear matter under the conditions of a supernova explosion unfolds into a rich variety of spatially structured phases, called nuclear pasta. We investigate the role of periodic network-like structures with negatively curved interfaces in nuclear pa

Investigations of exotic cluster-like phenomena in the framework of the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock approach are reported. The occurrence of highly excited isomeric states is discussed in connection with the question of their stability in static and time-dep

Properties of proton-rich nuclei around doubly magic $_{28}^{48}\mathrm{Ni}_{20}$ are studied in the framework of the self-consistent mean-field theory (Hartree-Fock, Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov, and relativistic mean field). Various effective interactio
