A mid-infrared dual-comb spectrometer is utilized for the determination of the isotopic ratio of the stable isotopologues 12CO2 and 13CO2 under atmospheric conditions in the ν3 band of carbon dioxide at 4375 nm.

To overcome the data burden of dual-comb spectrometers, we developed a data processing method for real-time spectra calculation during data acquisition. The spectra retain their envelope structure and the additional RMS-noise can be neglected.

A dual-comb spectrometer with flexibility in spectral coverage, resolution and central wavelength where all affect sensitivity is optimized to simultaneously determine atmospheric concentration levels of CO2 and N2O from spectra taken at 4470 nm.
