We present a multiwavelength investigation of the H ii region G347.600+00.211, located at a distance of 7.9 kpc. We analyse the gas and dust properties aiming to disentangle the origin of the region as well as its role in the formation of new stars.

Aims. The goal of this study is to analyze the H i supershell GS 121–05–037 and its role in triggering star formation. Methods. To characterize the supershell, we analyzed the H i 21-cm line and the far-infrared emission distributions. In additio

Galactic spiral arms are traced using young objects as giant molecular clouds, H II regions, OB stars, or young open/embedded clusters. To improve the knowledge of the Galactic structure in the second quadrant we selected, from more than 200 open clu

Context. Previous studies of the Carina region have revealed its complexity and richness as well as a significant number of early-type stars. However, in many cases, these studies only concentrated on the central region (Trumpler 14/16) or were not h
