The transition metal complexes of 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde-2-aminobenzhydrazone (H2L) were synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic (IR, NMR, UV–Vis, mass), thermal and other physicochemical methods. The ligand acts both in monobasic
