A hexacoordinated Co(ii) complex [CoL(NCS)2]·2DMSO (L is diacetyl bis-quinolyl hydrazone) with field-induced SIM properties, has been synthesised and characterized by IR, SCXRD, and AC and DC magnetic measurements.
