Glycosylation of the Fc fragment of immunoglobulin G (IgG) affects the role of this antibody in the adaptive immune system. Aging is associated with changes in IgG glycosylation, primarily galactosylation, which leads to an increased proportion of pr

Alternativna glikozilacija fragmenta Fc imunoglobulina G (IgG) znatno mijenja ulogu ovog antitijela u imunom sustavu. Starenjem dolazi do promjena u glikozilaciji, prije svega galaktozilaciji, što dovodi do povećanja udjela IgG s proupalnom ulogom.

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) glycans are emerging as a new putative biomarker for biological age and different diseases, requiring a robust workflow for IgG glycome analysis, ideally beginning with a simple and undemanding sampling procedure. Here, we repo

Obesity-induced inflammation usually starts with the activation of the innate immune system and consequently activates the adaptive immune system which leads to the production of a more inflammatory repertoire of cytokines and pathogenic immunoglobul

Background: The importance of N-glycosylation for the IgG effector functions is well established. Studies describing associations of total and Fc IgG N-glycosylation with various physiological and pathological conditions in human populations are plen

Objectives: The impact of genetic variants (single nucleotide polymorphisms [SNPs]) in the clinical heterogeneity of ulcerative colitis (UC) remains unclear. We showed that patients with UC exhibit a deficiency in MGAT5 glycogene transcription in int
