The utilization of anthropogenic CO2 for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) can significantly extend the production life of an oil field, and help in the reduction of atmospheric emission of anthropogenic CO2 if sequestration is considered. This work summar

CO2-enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is an upcoming technology in India. At present, no Indian field is under CO2-EOR and implementation of this technique to a mature oil field needs a rigorous study. In the present work, we made an attempt to investigate

Among various Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods, gas injection has been proven to be one of the effective ways of enhancing oil recovery from mature fields. The field under study has approached the economic limit of production under conventional re

Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) using CO2 as injection gas after water injection is a method to increase the oil recovery efficiency compared to only using the water injection process. In addition, it also constitutes a storage method in an oil reservoir

Estimating the EOR potential in producing oil fields is an important input to decision making if large scale CO2-EOR is going to be employed in the North Sea. This paper describes the results from simulations of CO2 injection into conceptual reservoi

The costs incurred in processing and disposal plus environmental concerns to minimise discharges during oil production have always created a desire to control unwanted fluid phases. In this paper, the potential of stopping the production of water by

The feasibility to recover stored CO 2 from the Utsira formation at Sleipner has been studied by reservoir simulation of a 15 years injection (until 2011) and a subsequent scenario where the CO 2 is produced from a horizontal well under the cap rock.
