Doubly differential cross sections of the reaction {sup 90}Zr({ital n},{ital p}){sup 90}Y have been measured at 198 MeV for excitations up to 38 MeV in the residual nucleus. An overall resolution of 1.3 MeV was achieved. The spectra show qualitative
