10. Hydroxamic Acids and Other Hydroxylamine Derivatives as Inhibitors of DNA Synthesis

A series of simple hydroxamic acids was prepared and their inhibitory action on the protein B-12 was studied. The rate of reaction with Fremy’s salt (KOSO2)2N-0 was examined spectrophotometrically and correlated to hydroxyurea the parent compound.
