The strong doping dependence of the dc conductivity in conjugated polymers below the metal–insulator transition (MIT), illustrated for PPV, is argued to be due to an increase in the density of states and the growth in size of the regions, in which

There are strong indications that the light-induced metal–insulator transition (MIT) in YH x is a quantum phase transition. If true, the conductivity should develop not only a characteristic scaling behavior with regard to doping and temperature, b

Summary form only given. The universal laws of complex systems close to phase transitions can often be expressed by scaling relations. We measured quantum phase transition metal-insulator-transition (MIT) in yttrium hydride. Yttrium hydride YH/sub x/

The process of ageing in rubbers requires monitoring over long periods (days to years). To do so in non-conducting rubbers, small amounts of carbon-black particles were dispersed in a fractal network through the rubber matrix, to make the rubber cond

The carrier dynamics in $PF-^{6}$ doped polypyrrole has been probed by dielectric spectroscopy (from $10-^{4 }$to 4 eV), down to 4.2 K. The phase-sensitive sub-THz data have assisted to resolve the discrepancies in Kramers-Kronig analysis in earlier

We measured the two components of the complex dielectric function of insulating and metallic PF 6 doped polypyrrole up to 4 meV simultaneously. These data are used as an input performed Kramers-Kronig analysis on the higher energy reflection data. Th

We have studied the hopping transport in two FeCl 3 doped conjugated polymers - a poly(phenylene vinylene), PPV, and polythiophene, PTh, derivative. Surprisingly, the conductivity of PPV is orders of magnitude higher than that of PTh at the same dopi

In variable-range-hopping theories for the dc conductivity, the extension of sites where the charges are located and the energy dependence of the density of states (DOS) are usually neglected. We show that these dependences are the dominant factors f
