The construction of a high resolution (0.005-cm(-1)) Michelson interferometer with cat's eye retroreflectors is described in some detail. The instrument line shape function of the Fourier spectrometer at 0.63 microm agrees with theory at 0.02-cm(-1)

A narrow-band (0.04 cm −1) pulsed dye laser was pumped by a pulse-periodic copper vapor laser. The output wavelength was continuously, rapidly, and reproducibly tunable using synchronously controlled electrodynamic drives for rotation of a diffract
