Summary The ash dieback pathogen Hymenoscyphus fraxineus proved to be pathogenic in a stem wound inoculation experiment on Fraxinus mandshurica var. japonica. In contrast, Hymenoscyphus albidus was proven non-pathogenic for this host species.
