Here the authors report a study measuring lifetimes of core-hole states of ICl molecule using attosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. They find that lifetimes depend on the alignment of the orbital relative to the molecular axis.

Ultrafast dynamics following light-matter interaction are governed by nonlinear processes. Here the authors show that initial nonlinear signal time-evolution is a consequence of phase grating accumulation using transient grating measurements with att

Imaging in real time the complete dynamics of a process as fundamental as photoemission has long been out of reach due to the difficulty of combining attosecond temporal resolution with fine spectral and angular resolutions. Here, we achieve full dec

The removal of electrons located in the core shells of molecules creates transient states that live between a few femtoseconds to attoseconds. Owing to these short lifetimes, time-resolved studies of these states are challenging and complex molecular

Attosecond transient absorption spectroscopy (ATAS) is used to observe photoexcited dynamics with outstanding time resolution. The main experimental challenge of this technique is that high-harmonic generation sources show significant instabilities,
