10 km transmission with 53.2 Gb/s NRZ format was demonstrated using 1310 nm high speed EML device. Evaluated dispersion penalty and receiver sensitivity show enough capability of NRZ format for 400 Gb/s Ethernet applications up to 10 km link.

We propose 25 Gbps optical link for uncompressed ultra-high-definition-television streaming and demonstrate it over 3 km single mode fiber employing low-cost and compact optical transmitter and receiver set.

A compact four-channel 25Gbps receiver with built-in demultiplexer realizes high sensitivity less than −12.1dBm and low cross-talk penalty of less than 0.1dB per channel in 12mm × 17mm × 7mm for the next-generation 100Gbps Ethernet applications.

We present practical planar AlInAs APDs, which have large gain-bandwidth products, low noise, and high reliability. The APD receivers had a sensitivity of-28.6 dBm at 10 Gb/s and -37.0 dBm at 2.5 Gb/s.
