We report on a chirped-pulse regenerative thin-disk amplifier generating 220 mJ pulse energy at 1 kHz repetition rate with a pulse duration of 1.9 ps for pumping few-cycle optical parametric amplifiers (OPA).

Two offset-linked 1 GHz frequency combs enable precision THz-TDS. Enhanced resolution at the few MHz level is demonstrated through resonant subharmonic excitation. The system is capable of software-based toggling between ASOPS and ECOPS mode.
