Abstract Oxygen vacancies (OVs), that charge‐balance the replacement of octahedrally coordinated Si4+ by Al3+ in the mineral bridgmanite, will influence transport properties in the lower mantle but little is known about their stability and local st

The influence of an ionic liquid (IL) on the film formation of the perovskite MAPbI3 is studied by multimodal in situ optical spectroscopy, where the IL is found to impact the evolution of precursor states and to reduce the growth rate of perovskite.

While solution-processed halide perovskite thin films caused enormous attention when used in solar cells, thick films prepared by compressing perovskite powders are considered promising candidates for the next generation of X-ray detectors. However,

High-pressure silicates making up the main proportion of the earth’s interior can incorporate a significant amount of water in the form of OH defects. Generally, they are charge balanced by removing low-valent cations such as Mg2+. By combining hig
