In this study we produce two urban development scenarios estimating potential urban sprawl and optimized development concerning building construction, and we simulate their influence on air temperature, surface temperatures and human thermal comfort.

Stream temperature is one of the most important factors for aquatic organism, but also regulates drinking water quality, which are both threatened by temperature rises. Atmospheric heat fluxes are primary drivers of stream temperature changes, all of

To estimate the effect of vegetation stress and changes in biogenic volatile organic compound (BVOC) emissions on urban ozone (O3) levels we perform a systematic, observation-based analysis of the relationship between formaldehyde (HCHO) mixing ratio

We analyse the evolution of surface ozone in Austria for 1990–2019 and investigate effects of changes in precursor emissions and climate warming. Our results show that ozone burdens remain a health problem despite reductions in precursor emissions.
