Abstract The thermal Hall effect in magnetic insulators has been considered a powerful method for examining the topological nature of charge-neutral quasiparticles such as magnons. Yet, unlike the kagome system, the triangular lattice has received le

The functionality of magnetoelectric multiferroics depends on the formation, size, and coupling of their magnetic and electric domains. Knowing the parameters guiding these criteria is a key effort in the emerging field of magnetoelectric domain engi

Combined dimerization and charge ordering are rare to observe in the chemical bonding of a material. Here, a metal-metal phase transition is observed in NaRu2O4, in which site-centered charge ordering coexists with dimerization.

In geometrically frustrated magnets small perturbations, such as non-magnetic impurities, can significantly alter the ground state. Here, using inelastic neutron scattering, Park et al. explore such a situation in Al-doped h-YMnO3, where the Aluminum

The properties of magnetic, crystalline solids can be described in terms of quantum particles of spin-wave and lattice-vibration energy, known as magnons and phonons respectively. Here, the authors show that strong magnon-phonon coupling in a noncoll

The effects of nonmagnetic Al impurities on a magnetic bath ${\mathrm{YMnO}}_{3}$ are studied by magnetization, heat capacity, neutron diffraction, and NMR measurements. Suppression of the N\'eel order with an increase in the doping rate is evidenced

The hexagonalRMnO3(h-RMnO3) are multiferroic materials, which exhibit the coexistence of a magnetic order and ferroelectricity. Their distinction is in their geometry that both results in an unusual mechanism to break inversion symmetry and also prod
