The nuclear fuel reprocessing plants on the Sellafield site (UK) have released low-level effluents into the Irish Sea under authorisation since 1952. This has led to the labelling of nearby offshore sediments with a range of artificial radionuclides.

Dulas Bay in Anglesey, North Wales, is an area of scientific interest not only because it receives radioactive contaminants from Sellafield, but also it receives high concentrations of contaminant metals from the abandoned Parys Mountain mine via the

During the operations at the Sellafield nuclear fuel reprocessing complex, artificial radionuclides are discharged to the Irish Sea under authorisation, where they are dispersed. In this study, the southern distribution and transport of Sellafield de
