In this abstract a calibration method based on depth and size information provided from ultrasound images is introduced. The method utilizes the forward data simulated by finite element method to calibrate the reconstructed absorption map.

In this paper, a method of outlier removal and data selection for ultrasound-guided diffuse optical tomography is introduced. The algorithm uses multiple datasets to compose a single robust dataset based on statistical analysis.
