Summary This work focuses on the development of adaptive timesteps, stopping criteria, and error control strategies for reservoir simulations with fully implicit (FIM) solvers. Using a rigorous error control framework, an adaptive time selector combi

We present a new practical constrained pressure residual (CPR) preconditioner including well degrees of freedom (DOFs). The action of the new CPR preconditioner applies only to the reservoir DOFs of the linear system, and includes well-reservoir coup
A reduced removal of dysfunctional mitochondria is common to aging and age-related neurodegenerative pathologies such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Strategies for treating such impaired mitophagy would benefit from the identification of mitophagy mo

We determine the effects on the BCS-BEC crossover of the energy dependence of the effective two-body interaction, which at low energies is determined by the effective range. To describe interactions with an effective range of either sign, we consider

The symmetry properties of the Coulomb potential allow for a dynamical spin-½ description of any fixed n level of a hydrogenlike atom in a time-dependent sufficiently weak electric and/or magnetic field. An explicit expression for the time dependenc
A time-dependent method for calculating the collective excitation frequencies and densities of a trapped, inhomogeneous Bose-Einstein condensate with circulation is presented. The results are compared with time-independent solutions of the Bogoliubov

We present an analysis of the ionization and excitation dynamics of $\mathrm{H}(1s)$ when exposed to an ultrashort and intense laser pulse. The studies are based on quantum close-coupling calculations and classical trajectory Monte Carlo simulations.
