Abstract Background The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have been vast and are not limited to physical health. Many adolescents have experienced disruptions to daily life, including changes in their school routine and family’s financial or emotion

Complex plasmas, i.e., low-temperature plasmas containing suspensions of solid microparticles, exhibit electrorheological properties which are manifested by the formation of stringlike clusters (SLCs) in microgravity experiments. It is thought that S

Shear flow in a three-dimensional (3D) complex plasma was experimentally studied in microgravity conditions using the Plasmakristall-4 laboratory on board the International Space Station. The shear flow was created in an extended suspension of microp

Three-dimensional structure of complex (dusty) plasmas was investigated under long-term microgravity conditions in the Plasmakristall-4 facility on the International Space Station. The microparticle suspensions were confined in a polarity-switched dc

The PK-4 laboratory consists of a direct current plasma tube into which microparticles are injected, forming a complex plasma. The microparticles acquire many electrons from the ambient plasma and are thus highly charged and interact with each other.

Complex plasma crystals are popular model systems where various plasma-specific or generic phenomena can be studied at the level of individual particles. Addressing the growing need for larger two-dimensional (2D) plasma crystals, a new plasma setup

A case of severe self-poisoning with atenolol is described. This did not respond to treatment with atropine and glucagon, but intravenous prenalterol resulted in rapid improvement.
