We investigate some of the fundamental features of the interaction of a mixture of coherent states, namely, a Kaleidoscope states mixture, with two-level atoms in the Jaynes–Cummings model framework. We begin our analysis by calculating the von Neu
In the Madelung-Bohm approach to quantum mechanics, we consider a (time dependent) phase that depends quadratically on position and show that it leads to a Bohm potential that corresponds to a time dependent harmonic oscillator, provided the time dep

We develop an alternative approach to time independent perturbation theory in non-relativistic quantum mechanics. The method developed has the advantage to provide in one operation the correction to the energy and to the wave function, additionally w

We show that the interaction between a movable mirror with a quantized field that interacts with a two-level atom may be simplified via a transformation that involves Susskind-Glogower operators (SGO). By using this transformation it is easy to show

We solve analytically master equations that describe a cavity filled with a kerr medium, taking into account the dissipation induced by the environment, and parametric down conversion processes. We use superoperator techniques.

We analyze the possibility of measuring the state of a movable mirror by using its interaction with a quantum field. We show that measuring the field quadratures allows to reconstruct the characteristic function corresponding to the mirror state.

Fourier analysis has become a standard tool in contemporary science. Here, Weimann et al. report classical and quantum optical realizations of the discrete fractional Fourier transform, a generalization of the Fourier transform, with potential applic
