Background: Cutibacterium acnes is the primary cause of shoulder surgery infections, but the predisposition to larger skin counts and potentially higher risk for postoperative infection remains unclear. This study aimed to quantify risk factors influ

Background Cutibacterium acnes is the most common pathogen in shoulder prosthetic joint infections. Short-contact benzoyl peroxide (BPO) solutions effectively reduce C acnes loads on the shoulder preoperatively. It is unknown how long the effect of B

On a daily basis people waste so many items, and what better way to help them from wasting but to create an app that tracks their groceries, creates less waste in the world and saves money at the same time in mobile networks. People waste food on ave

Background Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) solutions effectively reduce Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium acnes) on the face, neck, and back in nonoperative settings. This study compared preoperative application of BPO vs. chlorhexidine gluconat

We report record low loss silicon-on-sapphire nanowires for applications to mid infrared optics. We achieve propagation losses as low as 0.8 dB/cm at λ = 1550 nm, ~1.1 to 1.4 dB/cm at λ = 2080 nm and2dB/cm at λ = 5.18 μm.

We report low loss silicon-on-sapphire nanowires for applications to mid infrared optics. We achieve propagation losses of < 1dB/cm at λ=1550nm and < 2dB/cm at λ = 2.08 μm and λ = 5.18 μm, the latter representing a factor of 2 reduction in loss
