We present results of directly measured acetone absorption in the mid infrared using high-powered broadband dual comb spectroscopy. The technique developed is applicable to a wide variety of systems with mid infrared spectral features.

We demonstrate frequency combs generated with electrically pumped, commercially grown, quantum well laser diodes. We characterize their coherent output, and demonstrate dual comb absorption spectroscopy conducted with two free-running combs.
