Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense is one of the most destructive soilborne fungi causing Fusarium wilt disease in banana. Generally, F. oxysporum f. sp. cubense race 1 (R1) severely affects most of the banana varieties, except Cavendish banana (AAA).
