Gitelman syndrome (GS) is an autosomal recessive familial disorder characterized by hypokalemia and metabolic alkalosis. Rhabdomyolysis due to hypokalemia is extremely rare. The presentation of GS leading to rhabdomyolysis is extremely rare as well.
